I am trying right now to determine what O/U to purchase for skeet, having difficulty making the choice between a ceasar and a beretta. Also having trouble finding a Ceasar dealer so that could be a deciding factor as well.

what are your thoughts on the differences? plus and minus for each?

looking in the $3500 - $4000 range

One may note some (subtle) design differences. IMO, the build quality is very similar between the closely comparable models of those two brands. I do prefer the Beretta receiver design over CG.

As far as CG may be concerned, I have no idea about customer service since they have had their footprint in Canada only over the past few years. On the other hand, Beretta has been around in the Canadian market far longer than the former but their customer service can be questionable. :)

Given the budget, personally, I'd prefer to go for something such as a 682 Gold Sporting.

The good thing is both brands will have similar dimensions so gun fit will most likely may not be an issue with either one. Still may not entirely be out of place to mention that it would be best to determine fit i.e. if you haven't already done so - I had a very nice CG 28ga that I had to dispose off as the little gun will beat the heck out of my cheek on a clays course due to a slight difference in measure. The gun, however, shot where I pointed.

Decisions

Both are very good.I have owned both a beretta 682 Gold and CG Summit Limited.
I found that I preferred the CG so sold the Beretta.
Best thing is to see if you are able to shoot a round with each. If there are members at your club who own these models, they would likely be willing to assist you with your decision.
Again, proper fit is very important in order to shoot your best.
