I am thinking about purchasing a Caesar Guerini Summit Sporting. I'm looking for some feedback on the Summit or any of the other CG sporting guns... good or bad.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Ive had the pleasure of shooting several at my local club and have always been impressed with their quality fit and finish and reliability. They may or may not have plainer wood in their price range. Attractive straight grain.

I have had both a 12 ga Summit Limited Sporting Clays model and a 20 ga Summit Sporting Clays model. Both handle/point very well and are very reliable, no troubles with either . I used the 12 more than the 20 and only sold it because I decided to get myself a different gun as a birthday gift to myself two seasons ago. I still have the 20 and shoot it at certain events each season. The Caesar Guerini guns seem very popular at the clubs I shoot at here in Quebec, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. I am sure that you would be happy with one, but try to handle as many of the other usual suspects as possible before final decision is made.....Browning Beretta, Blaser and whatever others you have a chance to look at.

I have shot, a Ascent summit mid high rib , four years now , gun has worked flawlessly. Has likely had 20k rounds put through it. The heads up gun was a little hard to get used to ,but now I don't think I could go back . Any way great gun I would buy another in a min.

I have two Guerini's, a Tempio Light 12 ga which is a nice light hunting gun and a Summit Sporting in 20 Ga. Both have very nice wood, the fit and finish is excellent on both as well. Recoil is minimal, even on the Tempio Light, and both guns handle very nicely. My Summit has 30 inch barrels and I wouldn't want them any longer, they're a good compromise of quickness for the close shots but have lots of mass for long crossing targets. Guerini's are not cheap but I think the quality is very good!

I have wanted a CG for quite a while now. Had a Magnus and and a Maxum in hand - both absolutely beautiful - but bought a Blaser instead. Somewhere in my future, there is a CG!

I had 2 of them one in 12 ga and one in 20. They were both Summit Limited. I put probably 25k rounds in the 12 and it was tight as the day I bought it. I loved the gun and shot them really well. I had to sell them to buy something I couldn't pass. I wished I would have kept them.

a good friend gave me a CG Summit Impact to use for a month, great gun, couldnt find a negative about it. It just felt great, swung well, pointed well and balanced well for me. i highly recommend them.

Hey Guy,
Thanks for all of the feedback... from all of the posts it looks like I can't go wrong with a CG.

Dave

I enjoy shooting mine and the Canadian distributor offers the 'Pit Stop' program like what they have in the States. Met the Sales team & Gunsmith last year at the St Thomas trap shoot.
They were doing complimentary cleaning & service on site. Hopefully will see them again this year July 26-29 at the St Thomas Gun Club?

I bought a used Caesar Guerini Summit Sporting from the GUNDealer for 3000 and Ive been using it for sporting clays. IT has 34" barrels, which took some getting used to but the gun has worked perfectly. Its a very nice looking gun and I think at the price I paid I got a lot of gun for the money.

I've got a two summit's one in 20g and another in 28g, fantastic guns, balanced, great handling. I have put thousands of rounds through both, still tight and like new.

Wow! 6 year old post - and yesterday, I finally came home with my Caesar Guerini Maxum. 28ga, 32" barrels, beautiful oil finished wood, POW grip and 'to die for' engraving. Right now, the stock is 1 7/8 too long for me :eek:but I took it out to Silver Willow today anyway. Shot it pretty well for poor fit and it ran flawlessly.

Congrats Rob! The wait just makes the appreciation of owning a fine piece that much better. It’s a beauty and love the grain of the stock and the engraving is sweeet. Im sure it will serve you well. Cheers Chris

bonjour, j ai eu un Caesar Guerini summit..... les canons sont bons, mais au prix du fusil , il est dommage qu'il prenne du jeu et rouille assez vite. sinon tres beaux et bons fusils
