i am wondering if anyone has any tips on calculating rifle balance before you finish building a rifle? i understand that there is no way to be perfectly accurate without having all the exact weights of each component and then modeling it in a 3d program but are there any rules of thumb for this kind of thing? the stock Ive chosen comes out to about 2lbs 8 oz, ism using a normal Remington 700 action with a magnum bolt face, and I'm choosing between ordering a carbonsix 24" barrel chambered in 7mm rem mag with a contour of either sendero or magnum (muzzle width of .830 or .900) i haven't decided yet. the difference between the barrels is about an ounce and id rather go with the magnum but i don't wanna throw my rifle off balance if I'm already over with the sendero profile. both come out right around 2lbs 15oz. Any info is helpful
