With the demise of Olds and the Shepard range not accepting new members, where can I go to practice my pistol skills and get some fresh air? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

The Steve Johnson Range is a zero horizon (overhead baffles) conventional range (single common firing line). Drawing from a holster is not allowed and targets may be no closer than 20 metres. It's only really good for practicing groups (ie: Bullseye style shooting) which isn't necessarily a bad thing even for IPSC shooters.

the Okotoks gun club says they accept new members in their web site. I used to belong to the Blackie gun club but who knows if it's still there. My last gun club was with the Provost fish and game club.

The venting in Okotoks is brutal, at least it was the last time I shot there which is a few years ago.
The APRA has just finished a new 200m multiple-purpose and two new 50m pistol bays that give us three pistol bays in total at Homestead.
They should be coming online this year or early spring at the latest.

Can someone tell me where the pistol range at Sibbald is please, and where is the web site to apply to. Been missing a lot of shooting since Olds and Airdrie closed. Thanks for any replies......
