I ordered a rifle from Calgary Shooting Centre and the rifle was picked up by Canada Post last Monday (11th) and it STILL does not show any movement/transactions at the Calgary Post Office. I know it’s at the Calgary Canada Post location as the one transaction is there and says received/processing. 8 days with no movement/activity is ridiculous... does anyone know what’s going on over there?

I've had Canada Post orders get stuck for over a week in the same station. They're just really busy right now -- annoying but not atypical.

Exactly. CP is being snowed under and they have been for the entire lockdown. I had a rifle stay "received in Calgary" for two weeks until the notice showed up in my mailbox in Ottawa.

The ‘stupid me’ part is I chose Canada Post instead of the default UPS AND paid more at checkout thinking they would be more reliable/quicker. Lesson learned

Don’t really know why the excuses are made. They suck even at the best of times. Lost parcels are common place and the insurance is a joke. Try to collect and you’ll see what I mean. Charge for signature and drop it off without a signature. That’s called fraud but it’s ok cuz it’s the government and all the Liberals lie constantly and the stupid re-elect them!!

Start a complaint/insurance claim, that's what got my rifle moving, it actually (unexpectantly) arrived on holiday Monday 3 days after my complaint after sitting idle for over a week

I have had parcels go from the NT to ON and they scanned 3 times. Once when dropped off. Second in Winnipeg. Third on Delivery.
I KNOW they got through at least Yellowknife and Edmonton and NADA there.
It could very well be moving and not been scanned at every point along the way.
I just got a parcel up here last week that was mailed April 29 from Calgary and next thing I know the card was in my box May 12. Never tracked once.

I sent a package to Prince George, BC from Canmore, AB. It usually goes through Calgary. No updates for 4 days, then an update that the package is in Winnipeg. Next update its in Edmonton. Took 6 days to go from Canmore to Edmonton via Winnipeg. I'm hoping the package is enjoying the scenic route!! Hopefully it will eventually arrive in BC

Update: good news is that it did finally arrive in Prince George after touring Western Canada!

Last package I received they said they had stopped updating location. From Saskatoon to my doorstep.
As of April 17 they were no longer honoring guaranteed delivery dates.
As of today there are new rules regarding shipping of firearms . . . age over 18 IIRC.

Canada post picked up a new scattergun from Reliable on May 3rd. Expected delivery was listed for May 8th. Last tracking had it in transit from Richmond on May 3rd. It stayed that way until it arrived yesterday the 19th. It must have sat unscanned in Calgary for over a week.

Good idea. Just created a ticket on the Canada Post website... hopefully that will get things moving.

Now I know why there is Fuel Surchage when shipping with Canada Post. It's for the extra trips around the country.

No doubt.

I had some stuff that toured around all of Ontario before it made it's way here.

My plumbing parts must have been hitting up all the peeler bars in the Toronto/Cambridge/Hamilton areas.

Any time the government allows a surcharge for anything there will be someone there to exploit it.
Probably a Lieberals way of adding the Carbon tax by some other name.
Notice how it has nothing to do with expedience!

Literally just picked up a mag that was suppose to be delivered on the 12th today I opened a serviceticket yesterday. Canada post is dropping the ball hard.
