Calgary Easter show - scouting report

I think there were near to 1000 this show. I helped a friend at his table and bought and sold a few. I came home with a bolt mismatch Venezuelan 7x57. Lots of good stuff. The fellows next to me were milsurp nuts and kept coming back with some very nice goodies. One scooped a K31, probably the nicest original milsurp I've ever laid eyes on. Trouble with being stuck at tables is that you can't get to see much other stuff.

How many tables are generally at this show?

This year it was said to be one thousand tables.

The place was packed, busier on Friday. Some serious buyers on both days. Lots of stuff that looked like it came from someone's storage closet, but some gems, too. (Probably typical).

One of my neighbours picked up a very nice Sharps carbine (original) and I had the opportunity to handle (fondle) a Holland and Holland in .500 Express as well as a Westley Richards. Some very unique stuff.

We took many cases of Federal AE 45 ACP 230 gr FMJ down offered at $540.00 per 1000 round case. Brought it all back to the shop.

Finally got to lay my hands on your MHR just before the hordes of attendees came bursting through the doors on Friday morning. What a slick unit!!

Perhaps all the guys wanting .45 picked it up before they made it to your side of the show?
