i have fun at them all, keep your eyes open... pull that trigger first and buy, often gone quick.
This here^^^
Every gun show has the potential to be 'the one', and every show has something interesting, if you are able to figure out that sometimes it's not all about getting the exact gun you want at garage sale prices.
Go to look at new guns and get hands on, compare prices from different dealers, or just to see the cool junk that guys have dug out to bring to show off.
The Calgary show is a great show to wander around at. Lots of collectors displays (they are judged on them and awarded prizes) lots of stuff you cannot buy, on display, like a table full of Full Auto stuff, and other prohibs, usually at least a couple tables of custom gun makers or outfitters, and always lots of miscellaneous parts and stuff related to shooting.
If you go in with the mindset that you are going to have a good day wandering around looking at guns n' stuff, you'll never go away disappointed.
Bring folding money, have a good idea what prices are, if shopping new, so you can recognize a deal if it's in front of you, and be prepared to act when an opportunity presents itself, as it likely won't be there when you come back for it. BTDT.
