Calgary SKS gunsmith needed for removal windage drum and front sight post (help)

Looking for a gunsmith in Calgary to install a paratrooper front sight post. I will need to remove original sks windage drum and sight post and reinstall in updated Para sight post.

Anyone know a good gunsmith in the Calgary area that could do this correctly?

Yes !!! received the paratrooper front sight post I ordered out of the states on Friday it is made by bullet button in California. Looks 100% better than that stock post and bayonet lug. I moved it close to the gas tube and added a grizzly gun works barrel shroud.

If so I have a front sight tool.

I don't believe it is legal to cut the barrel but it sure would look awesome shorter. I might just end up dropping it off at shooter edge to get there gunsmith to work on it.

You can cut the barrel, as long as it doesn't go under 18.5 inches ( ut it shorter and it becomes a restricted firearm thanks to our FUBAR'd Firearms Act) to keep it non-restricted.

Pm'd you innercity it's a pretty easy install just don't have the sight and windage tool. I appreciate your offer of the tools use.

I would enjoy a pic? and yes you can shorten so long as its not under 18.5 "

you may shorten the barrel down to 18" before making it a prohibited device, but it becomes a restricted rifle if you shorten the barrel below 18.5".
