Location
Georgian Bay, ON
Today is Friday 21 Aug 2015, and I have reached the maximum of 20 people in this clinic. I have to close off the registration. Now if there is any interest if an M14 clinic on my return swing through Calgary on Wednesday, 30 Sep 2015....

It's official, I'm coming out WEST to TSE in Calgary. TSE Jr has been so accommodating to host me for three days of clinics and this one is the M14 clinic. Hey, this is clinic number 65 that I've done! I was just updating my resume!

Edmonton Garrison M14 lovers:

This year we are having any participants from the Soldier ON program attend all my clinics for FREE! Come one out and have fun with us! :)

Where:

The Shooting Edge in Calgary. Here's a link to their website: http://www.theshootingedge.com/

When:

Sunday 13 September 2015. One day of clinic tweaking.

Cost:

$ 50 for the DAY

Timing:

Gather for 0830
Casual Start at 0900
Lunch at 12ish to 1ish... I love that Farmer's Market next door for pulled pork poutine! :)
Ending at 1600

Registration and Payment:

EMT the $50 to me with this information:

Name: Tactical Teacher
Question: What was your OLD CGN handle? I was not always tacticalteacher, you know.
Answer: hungry (low caps, no spaces) that way I cannot screw things up
Email: hungry556 AT bell.net

Somewhere in the EMT, remind me of your CGN handle AND which clinic it's for (PR or CQB or M14)

What is involved:

- Tools for tweaking, tools to avoid, tools that are nice to have but expensive, tools that are overrated and too expensive
- Gadgets that are nice to have, need to have, and useless to have (but I had to buy it to show you)
- Tools that you can make yourself instead of buying, tools that you can have buddies (owe you favors) make up for you
- Stripping the boomstick (you will be surprised at what I can show you)
- YES we will try to pull your rear sights apart, and then get serious with them
- Assembling the boomstick, and what to look for so that worthwhile tweaks can be or should be made
- Tweaks that work, tweaks that don't work, expensive tweaks so yer #### does not fall off
- Useless tweaks unless you have more money than shooting ability (many stories to follow at the clinic)
- Common pitfalls, expensive tweaks that work, more ways to ensure that yer #### don't fall off
- Lunch and then tweaking in the afternoon to tighten up your prized M14
- Lots of networking and socializing all the time. This is priceless.
- I am set up to install your .308 Win barrel on your receiver and then FINISH Chamber, then you test fire at TSE

Things to bring for Day 1:

* Your M14 rifle or receiver(s) with barrel(s) to be installed
* Your M14 (or two if you got them)
* Notebook, pens, digital camera, rags,
* Ball peen hammer, Allen keys SAE and Metric
* Punches, screwdrivers, more punches
* Plastic or rubber mallet, wood block or 2 or 3
* Masking tape, duct tape
* Anybody got a Black and Decker Workmate? Bring it along, leave it inside the car/truck until we need it.

Questions?

Bring them on!

I wish I could deliver an M14 clinic in Edmonchuk (I'm a University of Alberta Grad '84) but cannot seem to have a pointman offer up a classroom this spring/summer.

Cheers and warm regards,

EMT Sent, bring the boomstick or bring pen and paper or both? Thanks, you can rock me to sleep tonight, Sep 13th can't come soon enough!!!

Fellas:

I see the 2 x EMT in my mailbox right now. I was a little under the weather last night after work. Kinda awake now but the head is spinning before I head to work so I should be able to get to those deposits tonight.

Thanks a bunch! :)

Cheers,
Barney

Darn it all! The one day in the next three months i'm scheduled to be outta town... Oh well, hope everyone has a great day and maybe i'll get in on the next one.

Hello, just wondering if re-indexing a barrel is something that can be accomplished at your clinic?

YES, we can and will re-index if need be! I have a USGI flash hider to see if your barrel really needs indexing since many of them chinese FS units are not flat/true/machined properly at the front sight base; so things appear out of index.

Once I get a USGI Flash suppressor on there, you can rest assured we have a known standard to clamp the parallels on and inspect to see if all is "true". :)

Lots of room at this clinic still! EMT away to have a spot at the TSE classroom!

Cheers,

Would this clinic be any use for Springfield m1a's or just Chinese models?

YES....
Bring both if you got them. Bring your M1A because I have 12 factory M1A gas cylinder locks and we can / will tighten up your gas cylinder assembly without any shims! :)

Bring your Norc or 2 of them if you took my advice all the way back from 2002, "Don't buy ONE, buy TWO of them!"

Cheers,

Hey Barney, is there still lots of room for the Calgary course or is room getting tight yet? Asking cause I don't get paid until Friday & hoping to stretch sign-up until then!

Change my registration for M-14 Clinic from Kelowna to Calgary?

Hi Barney,

Just sent EMT for the Kelowna clinic on September 22nd..
Then discovered there is a Calgary clinic on September 13th...

Being an Alberta guy, the Calgary location/date is easier for me to attend...

Can you please switch my registered location from Kelowna to Calgary?

Thanks!

Kurt.
