caliber question

I think for what your after the 243 will be great. But, just to stir the pot.....Maybe a 308?? FMJ and match for coyote pelts and varmints, hunting bullets for everything else in NA. Will serve you well.

I have 2 243, and sold a 2506 (miss it). From my experience if I am hunting coyotes mostly with a chance for deer. then 243 W/ 87gr. VMAX & a good partition or solid deer load. If it was a deer gun & a few coyotes then the 25 is the way. I do have a 223 in a light Ruger #3 and use it when calling coyotes, But with capital b, If I am shooting over 200 yd. the 243 is far superior.
