Caliber Suggestions.

I have an 03 a3 Springfield that i have been building. I know, it was hacked up when i got it. The bore is awful and i am to the point of rebarrel. I am looking for sugestions on caliber choice. All sugestions will be considered as long as ammo or brass is commercially available. I have been pondering the idea of 308 Norma mag or maybe 25-06. lets hear it! I already have a mint 03 a3 as well as a blr in 30-06.

I would stick to a case that fit the bolt, without alteration. also, pretty close to magazine size.
I would rebarrel to 7x57.

If I were you, I forget about that thing a buy a new gun in your favourite caliber. But first, you need to make up your mind, 308 Norma, 25-06 and 30-06? You also need to make a closer caliber choice.
