Calipers, dial or digital?

I have chronologically gifted eyesight so I like the big numbers on digital calipers. If i use my dial calipers I need to wear clip on magnifiers for my glasses.

Thanks for the vid. I had to purchase new calipers today and went with the iGaging Absolute Origin IP54. I was swayed by the CR2032 (I use a lot of those) and beefier battery compartment. Hopefully I don't regret it over the Mitutoyo, but I will need another 12" for measuring pushrods soon.

Have and use both, they both work well. Started without a dial and still own it, very accurate

have a set of CT digital calipers that I use for my reloading needs. want true accuracy get micrometers. I am a machinist by trade. worked in a machine shop at an aircraft part manufacturing plant. the calipers we used were nothing but vernier, No digital and no dial. still have mine but cannot read the vernier scale any longer so digital it is.

Been using a Lyman dial caliper for over 25yrs. Never seen the need to change.
