Can you still us stripper clips with this set up, that would be the ideal combo if you can.

Yeah, stripper clips still work, no need for a deflector shield either.

That's sweet, that's the biggest issue with mounting a scope on a stock sks. I might have to do the same to one of mine, they're both good shooters.
