Calling all BC Tactical SKS Scout Mount and Bushnell TRS 25 Owners!

Question for anyone running a TRS 25 on a BC Tactical scout mount with their SKS: Is your rifle still in the original stock? What is the cheek weld like?

Are you guys running the trs25 with or without the riser mount? I'm just about to pick one up and was undecided on the riser, don't think it will be needed.

The riser would put the TRS way up in the clouds! Cheek weld with the TRS mounted on the BC scout is pretty low, most will prefer a cheek riser. The being said its a red dot so a good cheek weld is not needed unless you prefer one (muscle memory from shooting scoped rifles)

I have mine mounted without a riser.
I had a Vortex Strikefire mounted for a while.....................way too high with the AR-15 mount.

I would get a shell deflector on there pronto. That mount took out my TRS-25 on the first day.

Or do the ejection mod. Fairly easy bit of work and nothing even hits my shell deflector.

Yup. That's the only problem with that mount.

It's solid and I liked it - but it pummelled my vortex spar with spent shells.

I did the ejection port mod and mounted the TRS 25 far enough ahead that I can still load with stripper clips. No "dings" on my TRS 25 (yet)

I ran mine with no mount. The mount is for AR hight and that waaaaay to high for sks. Saying that my scout mount would NEVER hold zero with this stupid so I removed it and went back to irons. Saying that, anyone interested in buying an sks scout mount? Lol

I was looking for more information on this.

It's a pretty good description of what needs to be done. Take the stock off and use a dremel tool. I used a dremel and just made the angle 90 degrees. I think I originally got if off of some US SKS forum..... sksboards I think.

Wish I saw this thread sooner. I had my TRS mounted forward as much as possible but the scout mount was loose today so I took it off and when I re-mounted it I guess it was too far forward because about 30 rounds later the casing cracked the the #### out of the front glass.

So be warned. If you don't have a shell deflector don't use this combo IMO.
