Hi I am a new poster and the new pres. of the CFB Petawawa shooting club. I am looking for people Mil or Civ in the area who are interested in long range shooting this summer. The club has access to Y Range 100yd-600yd., this is the longest range in the Ottawa Valley. We can fire up to 308 win at this time. Cost is $10.00 with a CAC or $30.00 and something for a one club membership, these costs are per year, there is no daily range fee. There is alot work involved in opening a military range so we are looking from active and keen members to get involved and help , ie RSO's.

The club is taking a new direction, we will only open the range for Precision/Sniper , Target Rifle , F-Class Shooter , Service rifle 300yd plus type shooting (no 22 cal rimfire or sighting in your grandpa old hunting rifle ) there to much work for any other type shooting on mil ranges , trust me!

P.M. me if interested Parker:)

CFB Petawawa Shooting Club Open Range Dates

-NEW UPDATES:dancingbanana: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The CFB Petawawa shooting club is looking for members and will be holding an open shoot. The timings are 0930 on Saturday 9 June. We have Y range (600 Yds) booked until 1500, but if there is limited attendance, the range day will end early - depending on the desire of the shooters present.

To attend, meet at the range hut on Paquette Road between 0930 and 1000.
For more information, contact the president, Oliver Bennet at (613) 732-1125.

Please, no .22s, we will zero at the 100 until 1100, then fire at longer ranges afterwards.

Hello rePete, could you tell me if and when we discussed this as I don't have this info, we have the % of DND and or dependants must be __% greater then non DND members. If you wish to PM me please do.

CFB Wainwright Gun Club

Hi Parker:

Congratulations on getting the Club back up and running!! I was a member there in the late 80's when we could shoot indoors (the building was over by the RCDs) and then a member of the executive in the late 90's when Rge Ctl started giving us a hard time about driving to Y-Rge. I hope the paperwork wasn't in to much of a $$ht state for yah:wave:

If you need a hand with mil correspondence for your Club, drop me a line. Between Klunk and I we have most of the paperwork you require to run a Club on a Base, as we have been muddling through the one here in CFB Wainwright for some time now:shotgun: .

P.S. You should be able to have civilian membership as long as you write that paragraph into your constitution.

SteyrSSG thank's for your support. The paper work is pretty much I Order:) Civilian have been members of the club for many years and I don't intend to change that. The club is primarily for Service members and DND employee and their dependants. If we have the room to accommodate Civilian we should, this is for the greater good of the shooting sport community. I am in the process of rewriting constitution to reflect this .
