SteyrSSG thank's for your support. The paper work is pretty much I Order:) Civilian have been members of the club for many years and I don't intend to change that. The club is primarily for Service members and DND employee and their dependants. If we have the room to accommodate Civilian we should, this is for the greater good of the shooting sport community. I am in the process of rewriting constitution to reflect this .

Jamie

Like me!!! Well, soon to be from your AO.:)

For Parker - Can any CF member buy a CAC card and get the discount? I remember getting a CAC card when I was on my PLQ, but not sure if I was only able to get it because I was on course. I will be posted to North Bay this summer, so I will be nice and close for a few long range shoots!!!

That's all we need !

As oposed to Ontario, Here in Quebec we can only gt the transport permit for one specific location at a time. So For us if the ATT is club/range specific, thats all we would get anyway from our provinc CFO !

As Jaime asked,....Will this be open to civies and if so, Can we shoot all day every day?? Or is this a weekend range only??
If it takes an RSO to run the range, can civies take some sort of course to become RSOs so we can shoot when its convenient for us.

Is there any thought to running F-Class or similar matches in the future??

i am waiting to hear the responses to the above as pet isnt that far for me to get the wife to drive and i would be able to really stretch the legs on my "tacticool" rifle

"No more BS at civi clubs!" Man you have an enourmous load to learn about the military!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ANY civilian can join NCRRA at Connaught and shoot to 900m (When the range in not under construction for the worlds this summer). Currently we only have to 600m as the mounds have been graded and grassed for August.

I beleive Reaper is referring to the local civie club here in Pembroke... and Reaper has at least 20+ years in the Army.

Due to restrictions imposed by Range Contol, only non-restricted firearms are permitted and calibers are limited to .223, .303 and .308. (Essentially, no magnum calibers permitted).
Yep and if range control gets sticky thats 147 for the .308 and 55 or 63 for the 556 eliminating the 155 gr. Palma and 80 gr. Sierra and 75gr. AMAX. So basically eliminating the long range ammo in both calibers. Been done on other ranges recently.

I have a very good raport with the NCO/IC of range control.

I may try to come up for one of these.... Considering both my 308 Long Range rigs are allready in Petawawa. Be a good chance to try them out...

Try to fight the Non Restricted only thing.... I would like to use my new Target AR15 upper.

There is no fighting the non-restricted thing, we are waiting on Chief firearms office to send us the ATT forms. As you know or don't Know DND Ranges require an ATT that is good for DND Ranges only and Cil Club ATT's won't Do. So in the future we will issue members ATT's for CFB Petawawa Ranges and only if you have an ATT from a Cil Club (No time for us to run a course).
