Calling all SR-22 owners

I've been searching for the same thing.... Something tacticool, to match the uber-tacticoolness of the SR-22, and with 3 -4x... Tough to find something that fits the bill for a decent price. Lot's of nice optice in the $600 and up range but...
So I ended up going with a Millett DMS-1: www.millettsights.com/scopes/dms/
1-4x 28mm, illuminated "dot in a donut" reticle (1 MOA dot inside of an 18 MOA circle), and adjustible illumination. The parallax is factory set for 100m; but with the donut-dot system, the manufacturer claims it is good for any range from 5 - 400m.
I just ordered it from P&D this morning so I won't have it mounted and tested until next week. It is not quite in the sub $200 range; it was $299; but it has the added versatility of still being very useful and tacticool on an AR as well. All in all, it seems like it will be well worth the money.

I am hoping to put iron sights on mine. I tried to order a 3" rail from shopruger, but they don't ship to Canada. I then tried to have it shipped to a friends place in NY state and they won't ship there either. If anyone knows who has these then I would like to know.
Try calling P&D. They had both the long and short top rails the other day but I think they may just have the shorter one left now. The short one is the 3" one so that should be what you're looking for!
Thanks guys!! Hey another thought for the SR-22 is an 11.5" barrel 
Overall length with stock collapsed is 32.75" and factory barrel is 16.12. So subtract 4.62" of Overall length and she is 28.13" overall length when the stock is collapsed.
Anyone try this yet? How long would the 11.5" stick out past the handguard if at all??

I was thinking the same thing myself! That would be a awesome little plinker and oh so tacticool.
I don't think the barrel would stick out past the stock handguard by much, but the SR-22 will accept AR handguards so you can always put a shorter one on if you don't like the look of the short barrel with the stock handguard.

I was toying with the idea of getting one of those, for what i hear they are very decent for the price. But in the end I wanted a sight that had some magnification (that one is a straight 1x) to make it a little more versatile for gopher blasting and whatnot; so I went with a Millett DSM-1.
But if you don't need, or want, any magnification then I think it should be a good match for the SR-22. If you get the chance, try it out on an SR-22 before you buy as you may need to add a riser to get the sight high enough for use on the SR-22. Most optics need either a tall base or tall rings to work on the SR-22.

I too went with a NcStar Mklll scope, the 1.5-6x40mm mil-dot version. Got it mounted on a quick release base for storage, as well as to raise the scope up a bit for comfort.
