Jared McL from Strathroy who just sent me some brass.... I got yer brass sizes: 12, 12 , and 12 thou. Nice and decent for a Norinco-Plinko rifle.

I will delete this post once you confirm you received this message about your brass.

And that goes for you .308 shooters (Precision, hunting, or M14)....

Send me 3 fired brass cases and I will measure your chamber size in relation to the SAAMI Go Gauge dimension of 1.630"

Cheers,
Barney

Hey Barn: What exactly are you measuring?..the case lenghth after its been fired? Can I do this at home with my digital Calipers?

It's very tricky with said digital calipers. I use an RCBS Precision Mic that runs around $ 75.00 from LeBaron (back about 20 years ago) in Mississauga, ON. At my clinics, I show you how to use one, but frankly one does not need to measure your headspace too often. So in order to save you money, I just do it for ya.

The upside to buying a .308 Precision Mic is that it also works for the .260 Rem caliber that I use for LR/PR matches. Remember that the .308 Win is a parent cartridge to the .358 Win, the . .243 Win, the 7mm-08, and now my fav .260 Rem.

If only Krieger would make a Med or Hvy barrel for the M1A/ M14 Norinco-Plinko-Stinko in .260 Rem....

Cheers,
Barney
