I'm ugly enough to kill them just by smiling at them

In your case tresspassing was the crime and yes lots of camera guys think they can go where ever cuz they aint really hunting. Not the case.
All that said if I were charged by a CO for hunting with my camera I'd make a fool of him and the law when we got to court. I'd demand to have David Suzuki, Rodger Tory Peterson (if he's still alive) and every other nature photographer I could think of that ever photoed a griz and eagle , a spotted owl or black footed ferret up on the same charge. Even Sir Paul McCartney has photed a baby seal and even harassed the poor little bugger by making him be in the photo. Lionhill is a professional photographer and I doubt that a CO in BC would charge him for photoing a turkey on land he was legal to be on. Matter of fact I'm looking forward to the pics
