Cam Pro or Berry's?

I'm looking to do some reloading in 9mm, and need some educated opinions on the above listed manufacturers. I have zero experience with either of the two. I have been using Canadian BDX for probably the last ten years, with good results. Unfortunately they are not able or interested in selling to individuals at this time. At this time, I am not interested in lead, only interested in jacketed or plated . THX

So what does it leave you?

I certain cam pro and berry are electro plated. Berry bullet are premium, i like them quality stuff. Cam pro are good but the elector plating is not as good as berry.

Of the two buy which ever you can get delivered to you the cheapest. I don't think there is an ounce of difference in the end performance. I have shot them both and like them both. Can Pro are Canadian and all else being equal I would support them with my dollars.

Similar boat with no support from BDX due to the high volume they are doing. There may be a lot of Can Pro coming down the pipe to the Calgary area... fingers crossed. I have used them for a while and I liked them!

That's good to know. I will have to keep an eye out for them.

With large amounts of clean brass stored away, I have decided to finally get down to loading the empties. Poor timing on my part I guess with the limited supplies to be had. Good thing I have been squirreling away little bits over time. I just need a pile of projectiles (brass whore:redface:)

Your good with either one. As Canuck44 wrote above, I would buy the ones with the cheapest delivered price.

In case you are loading very hot (like for a .38 Super hot rod), Cam-Pro plating is 0.008" thick and will not cause the barrel copper fouling known with thin plated bullets. If you go with the Berry's, make sure they are the "-TP" which are plated 0.008" thick as well. If you run under "normal" pressure/velocity, their other bullets are also up for the job.

I had good luck with the frontier boolits from marstar.

I recently (read 18 months ago) switched to berrys as one of the clubs I'm a member of started doing bulk purchases of ammo and projectiles from a supplier in BC, and what he sends is berrys...... iirc last time I bought 8k 124gr HP and TC, it was in the new ours pod of $75 shipped..... I also ordered 4K of 200gr 45 HP, some 38, 40 & 308 stuff...... I recall shuddering when I wrote that check!

That's the advantage of ordering by the multiple pallet load.... Price per piece come way down!

CamPro FTW!

I mean I'm not biased at all;)

CamPro have have a thicker plating than the regular Berrys bullets so im not sure where the info came that their plating isn't as good.... it may not be as shiny but its just as plated and you can use them in place of jacketed bullets for carbines or other full power magnum loads because of that thicker plating.

Also Canadian made which means no supply issues and a bit of national pride.

Berrys do work fine though and I have shot many thousands of the 147gr 9mm stuff in the past.

I've used both, and they're both great. Custom Reloading sells the Berry's a bit cheaper than the CamPro, so that's what I'm using.
