Camo-dip process available in Canada?

From the websites I looked at they talked about applying a clear coat after the camo-dip process. I would assume its to seal it. As for the heat question 2 of the guys I duck hunt with have the factory camo-dipped shotguns and there haven't been any issues so far with there finishes.
 
Got a reply from the company in Quebec today and was given the number of a place in Ontario so I gave them a call. Sorry to say it's not camo-dipping its another process of camouflage. Sent him pics of the gun I wanted to get done anyway and asked for a price just to compare.

someone should set up shop for this in canada.... wonder what the cost is for the complete set up machinery wise and cost for rolls of that material.... I think i need to email these guys, I could see this being a lucrative business this side of the 49.
 
so... I've emailed them, to see if they will set up or assist a canadian business to perform thier process..... to save us from the hassles of cross border shipping and hoop jumping.
I'm all in for investing the time and money to be able to offer this service in canada.... we will see what they say and i'll try to keep ya informed. may be a long shot... but ya never know

That would be awesome! You could be like their Canadian representative. :)
 
From what I have heard, Buck Expert are the ones who did the camo job on the semi-auto Baikal for the canadian importer. Personnaly, a friend have one and it doesn't compare at all with the camo done on other brand like Remington or Mossberg. When you see it in person, Baikal's camo application just look strange and if I remember correctly they are a bit shiny for camo.

The cost was $125.00 +~$50.00 shipping
They do lots of guns for Canadian customers with very little problems with customs

got tired of waiting for a response from the camo dip company....... so I just went ahead and camo'd up my stock on the ol sks...... rifle will be next...... this was painted, by me :D
if i gotta send it to the u.s. it ain't gettin done
