camo enfield

[Fixit]

ive always liked the red tinted finish that my enfield has, but lately ive been questioning its merrit in the bush.

so with a bit of rags heres what i did.

red tint

start of wrap

finished wrap

couldnt figure out anyother way to get past the action other than just laying a piece lengthwise and then tucking it under the wraps on the forstock and the butstock.

so what do you think?

I personally wouldn't have used ACU, but looks pretty good. A friend of a friend once made a ghillie net for his service rifle. Can't remember what he used, but it started with a net and apparently took quite some time to make. Looked pretty good...I'm sure if I look around, I have a picture of it.

not a fan of ACU either but ..... that rifle will now blend in well in the bush....

The picture I found of the custom made ghillie net isn't very good, so I won't post it, but essentialy what the guy did was take a net and some jute/hessian and pulled the jute into individual strands and either tied or glued it to the net. It wasn't even full length - gust covered the handguards, but it worked fairly well.
