Camo Paint on my Turkey Gun

I use a single shot 12 gauge for turkey(H&R) and thought about putting camo design on the wood and metal/barrel.
Would like to do this myself as a winter project, however do not really know where to start and which paints would be good for the metal or wood or do I have to prepare the shotgun in anyway.

Just looking for some helpful hints and thanks in advance.

Start by stripping your gun down and parkerize it if you can, If not lightly blast the metal with 80-120grit aluminum oxide so to roughen the surface of the metal. I will reccomend our product Arma-Coat which is a permanent finish which can go on wood, metal, or plastics. It does not cost much more than other cheap paints that others will reccomend, and with all that work in the end you will have a finish that will last you a lifetime. Quick question in regards to Arma-Coat and Arma-Clear.

If applying Arma-Clear overtop Arma-Coat, should the Arma-Coat first be force dryed (30 minutes at 250oC)? I'll assume yes.

Once the Arma-Clear is on... should it then go in for a force dry of 30 minutes, but extended for another 30 minutes for Complete Cure - or extended for an additional 60 minutes for a complete cure?

Is it possible to keep it in the oven too long?

No you can keep it in as long as you like. ex 125F for 2hrs will give a complete cure too. You can actually apply Arma-coat Clear in about 10 minutes after the Arma-Coat is applied. Leave it in the oven for an hour and if you forget and leave it, no problem. There is nothing wrong with letting it cure a little longer if you are not too sure if it is ready or not.
