I am interested in possibly getting involved in shooting Muzzelloaders and interested in this particular one. Are there any of these out there. ?

I have the Omega Stainless sythetic and its a great gun to shoot and more important to clean. You wouldnt be sorry for buying it, the only other one I would consider would be the Encore, simply because you can change out the barrel to other calibres.

I've got the Encore fully camoed and love it. Topped it off with a camo bushnell scope and also got the ez-tip extractor for it and is a breeze to clean. I'm going to get the 12g barrel for turkey next spring. Happy all around with it. As with all things buy up the first time if you can.

My Omega

I have the .50 Omega in stainless, and it regularly groups 1" at 100 yds. It has the turned down 22 Hornet/ Small rifle primer mod, with a Leupold 3-9 Vari x 2.
My friend has the blued barrel version with the 22 Hornet mod and his also shoots an inch. He uses 2 Triple 7 pellets and I use 3 behind Hornady 250 gr SSTs.
We are both very satisfied with our smokepoles!:D
