Ok folks, in your opinions, how necessary is camo? I am not a waterfowler (maybe a trip or two per year?) but I do turkey hunt... does it make much difference? Is the camo worth the extra $$?? I've heard differing opinions..

Thoughts?

They see in color, and have excellent visual acuity and a wide field of vision (about 270 degrees), which makes sneaking up on them difficult. That is why turkey hunters have to be so careful about what they wear, matching their camo exactly to their terrain, even to leaf pattern because the birds can spot you so easily. But movement is more likely to scare them off than lack of camo.

I agree on the movement being more important than the camo gun. Although my gun is camo, I would'nt think twice about a black synthetic as long as it wasn't shiny.
