Camo'ed shotguns ...

I really prefer wood to black synthetic or camo, but I must say that the wood stock set on my 500 Mossberg is really getting the crap kicked out of it waterfowling this year. I think Kevin303's A5 looks pretty cool in camo synthetic/blue. I could see my 500 sporting the same look by next years opener.

it sems to get a lot of complements on the trap range. it's a bell & carlson stock, they make a set for the 500 i beleive. not cheap, but it fits like a glove and looks real sharp.

Havn't had a chance to take any pics of my new Stoeger, but here is one for now..

p.p.s. hopefully gonna get me some action shots this long weekend ... HAPPY THANKSGIVING folks ... ;)

Ok, I know it's been extremely dry and the ducks are not hanging where they usually are, until it get's a bit wetter out...however, I couldn't wait and since the season is open, I decided to walk a few of the area's I did last year, maybe get lucky and jump the odd duck. I mean, I have this brand new Stoeger, sitting here, looking at me, please shoot me......

I went out this AM, got three in an hour or so, this is the first one with this gun. I like the gun thus far, still getting used to her, but I think she will do fine this season....

Here is my camo "shottie" 835 ulti-mag in "Shadow Grass" Killed loads of birds with this gun and probly a bunch more.

 35 geese and 3 Mallards, and not a camo gun in sight!
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e82/hnachaj/Hunting 2006/Day4goose.jpg
A 391 Gold Optima Sporting and a 390 Gold Super Sporting (both showing bright nickel bodies!), a 303 Hunter, 390 Hunter, Benelli Nova (in Goth Black), a sissy Win FX2 and an extended tube (to reduce recoil and not as rounds) 870! Every bird was shot on the fly, as it is more sporting to do so!:p The geese were shot with Kent Fassteel BBs and a few 2s. Each Mallard was shot one shot with some Remington Heavy Shot 4s that I had.
It was raining so hard, that you could se the shotstring hit the birds. The first two flights of Canadas resulted in 23 down birds! :) So much more for practicing on sporting clay and FITASC targets, to get better results while hunting!:dancingbanana: Practice the hards targets, so that every target becomes hitable.

More to come this Friday!

Best regards,
Henry;)

Great picture!

Great picture!

Don't want to flatter you too much!! I wonder what you use to shoot longrange? ; with all the open spaces. No way to feel claustophobic.

johnny Sureshot, I don't know what you consider long range ... and well most birds I shoot are geese which I call in ... as for ptarmigan ... they're so stupid you can almost walk up and kick them to death ... :D ;)

I have a limited choice to any type of bullets where I live unfortunately ... and well have mostly used Federal Steel 1 1/8 oz BB 3 inch mag in my Mossberg.
