Camp Wainwright Sharptailed Grouse

I picked up my Bismuth loads at Prophet River, and I am ready for the special Camp Wainwright sharptailed grouse hunt in three weeks. We have a good group organized, and plenty of dogs; so it should be a fun hunt.

Do they have good sharptail numbers there? Not many around here. One of the local sport shop owners tood me they had really good sharptail hunting here until the expansion of the oilfields. He said there were three main drumming sites but oil leases were developed in and around them and that the Sharptails didn't react well to traffic. He said almost every field has a lease road which has pretty much pushed the birds to the brink. I told him I know of a quiet little out of the way spot where I see them consistently and he said keep it to yourself!!
