Hello fellow handloaders,
what is your take on loading the 451 230grs Campro bullets with you Unique or any other powder. I usually load plated bullets to hard cast load data, but the campro FAQ's state, that their bullets can be loaded to "full and magnum loads.) I am sure it can be done, and I am not really convinced these loads would be very accurate.
Has anybody loaded these bullets to FMJ load data and how was the result!

Your probably not going to get a 45ACP 230grain bullet in excess of 1000fps so I wouldn't worry about the bullet holding together. This is more for the .357 bullets in a 357 magnum exceeding 1000fps. Just load them to standard pressures in your 45 and they will work fine. I use WIN231 and N340 with good results.

I treat most of my plated and cast lead as fmj, but typically they are more accurate at lower velocities.

I have a 105gr SWC mold for 357mag that I have loaded with 20gr of h110 which is around 1800fps, but I only tried 20 of them. Now that I have a ruger I will try some more and see how the leading goes.

How's the muzzle flash on those little guys!?

I have a friend pushing the 158gr 357 bullets with 18gr of LiLgun so they do hold up.
I just don't find them to be consistent enough in the size department.
I buy Zero Brand for close to the same
