Campro 45/70 405 grain expectations

I'm getting some Campro 405 grain plated flatnose to try in my Marlin1895. What sort of accuracy can I expect? I've loaded thousands of Campro pistol bullets over the years but this is my first time with any of their rifle bullets.

The rifle has deep cut rifling and I'm interested in hearing peoples experiences

From my experience with my Marlin 1895; it is a lightweight rifle. Make no mistake about it, if you load them up properly they will go BOOM. After 5 or so, you will be flinching so much from the pain in your shoulder that it won't make a damn bit of difference how accurate they are. If you load them up as cream-puff ammo so they don't kick like a mule then what is the point? They are a good 5-6 MOA defensive round out to about 75 yards against bear or a randy moose. You are not going to be benchrest shooting with them.

They're not the most accurate slugs but they'll do for short range work. I use H4198 to get them moving at 1650fps out of a 20" barrel but groups are 4 MOA at best. The 400gr speer with the same powder at the same velocity will do 1.25 MOA out of my gun.

Well, they aren’t appropriate for wilderness defence so I don’t see the point of driving them to warp speed myself. Hard cast, Barnes buster, TSX, partitions, like literally anything else for hot loads.
