Does anyone know anything about these bullets? My point is I can't find anything on Google, and I checked the history in Gun Nutz and nothing really came up. From what I've heard they come from Ontario, but I don't know if the jacketed are a good quality or not. I found some 115 jacketed for my .38 super but having never heard of them before, I'm a little wary. Any info would be great.

I've used the Campro .45 230gr. FMJ bullets and found them to be very good quality bullets. I usually use and buy Frontier plated bullets in bulk but was low one day while in an extended reloading session. One of the local gunshops had Campro bullets and I tried them. Found them to be better quality and overall a better quality bullet than my usual Frontiers. I do like the Frontier's for the price however.

Hey thanks guys. I just finished talking to a fellow here in Manitoba who also shoots IPSC in open division who has been using the Cam-pro plated bullets for a couple of years, and has not had one issue with them. I had heard that on occasion a plated bullet will come apart, especially in a .38 Super, or any other high pressure application. This fellow stated in 20,000 rounds he's never has one issue. Makes me feel a little better about buying them, and pretty close by(Brandon). Thanks again.

My guns keyhole with them.......and when rolling the bullets on a table some RN the tip wobble throught a full turn.....the weight is far from being consistant.....I had 13k to burn....still have some...

They are the worst in accuracy thought my Open gun's with my load's.

I don't think they are better than the Frontiers, they aren't as good.

Frontiers are better finished and are mo0re accurate.

I found the opposite, the Campro's were on average more even in terms of average diameter, weight and over the chrony than my normal Frontier loads. I usually use Frontiers in 9mm, .40S&W and .45GAP and love them for their price and over all quality, but side by side, the Campro are a superior bullet. From the naked eye you can tell the plating is more uniform (especially the bullet base). I have some remarkable loads worked up using Frontier bullets but my first expeirence using the .45 230gr. FMJ Campro bullets produced results better than my stock load using the Frontier 230gr. FMJ bullets. Accuracy was about the same on the target, but all the other variables I mentioned I would give the edge to the Campro bullets.

When I first got the Campro bullets I was wondering what I was working with compared to my Frontiers, I randomly sampled roughly 40 bullets of both makes side by side over the calipers, digital scale and chrony at different charge weights and the Campro's were more consistant, better consistant diamter, weights closer overall and the chrony numbers, SD and spreads were smallers than all samples of Frontiers.

Having said that, I still am satisfied and almost exclusively use Frontiers due to their overall quality for the price. That and I bought about 20K before the price hike last year!

BTW, I got my Campro's in Brandon as well, probably from the same supplier you will be getting from, great guy to deal with.

I picked up 3000. So it's not a huge investment to find out how they work in my gun. One thing I know is that in a production situation, there's always a chance that you can get a bad lot of anything. Bullets, brass, primers, heck , even guns. Not to mention all the things that are made in a massive production line that isn't related to guns, but that still can go bad. Cars, electronics, etc. The guy I was chatting with last night has put over 20,000 of the plated 115's through his .38 super hybrid, at higher pressures than I'm running I'm sure, and has not once had a problem. As I said, I only bought 3000. If they work, then at least I know I have a reasonably close supplier that can get me what I need without the dreaded $200 shipping bill I would normally pay. If they don't work, I'll just pawn them off on the production guys. Lol.
