With the shortage of magnum primers, wondering if anyone has tried using the Ginex LRPs in 7mm RM or 300WM. If you have, how effective were they, which powders were they used with, etc.

I have used lots of winchester rifle primers in my 300WM for years, although they are hotter primers have never felt the need for "magnum" primers. I don't use ball powders in my WM though.

Which can be hard to ignite consistently. Be careful with this one. Just IMHO of course.

Yeah i think we're all about to be a big review board of the ginex lrp's. Prophet river dished out 200k and it was all gone in what...two hours?
Honestly i think they'll be fine given the non-existant supply of federal/cci/remington/winchester primers.

I missed out on the LR Campro / Ginex order (by about an hour!). But I have some SR Ginex primers on the way for my 6.5x47L. Never used them before, so I am looking forward to the load development work.
I searched the web and did not find any primer to primer brand performance comparisons for the Ginex to other brands, for ES andf SD muzzle velocities.
Since many of us are buying the Ginex brand lately, I am hoping CGN members will post up some chronograph data on ES and SD for their favourite loads, and offer opinions on how these compare to what they were getting with Federal and CCI (which are the only brands I have ever used).

There will very likely be very little issues with the Campro primers in ''off the shelf'' rifles.
I've had issues with inconsistent ignition in a custom 257 Roberts, which has had its striker spring tension reduced slightly. It works well with Remington,
Winchester and CCI primers.
It doesn't work well with the CCI milspec or Campro primers.
My comment was a bit of a heads up for those with firearms that have been modified in such a fashion. Some factory rifles come with this modification done, either from special order, such as the Remington Custom Shop or done by a smith later. Then the rifle gets sold to someone that doesn't know etc.
