Can’t decide between these 3 rifles. Savage B17, Ruger American rimfire, and cz 455

Price does not matter. Quality, accuracy, are more what I’m interested in. I like the weight and feel of the RAR and the short barrel (but i’ve Heard it doesn’t like CCI A17 which I have A ton of). I like the Savage B17 because I can get the 25 shot clip for it. I have never owned a CZ before but i’ve Heard they are accurate but I’m not a fan of the 5 shot magazine.

Anyone who has one and know the accuracy with cci a17 or anyone who owns one that has valuable input I would appreciate your help in making this decision.

So, you are looking for one of the three in 17HMR ?

If so, Go with the bolt action that you like the feel of the most.

Ammo testing will show you best results. They will all shoot well, the 17hmr is an accurate round. Ive had a CZ and a savage and they both shot the same. Very accurate.

CZ. The rest aren’t really worth considering if a CZ is in the running. CZ also has 10 round magazines available for both standard and magnum rim fire rounds.

The cz outclasses these riffles hands down IMO much higher build quility only one of the three that feels like a real riffle and also holds its value if not increases. I just got my second cz rimfire the cz 452 style silhouette and had to pay more then new for a used one. Also the cz 455 in 27hmr you can change into a 22lr with a barrel that can be found used.

CZ would be my choice. I have one in 22LR which I debate on for close to two years because it was only a 22LR and why get another. I should have bought it sooner. I love the feel and the way it shoots.
BRNO and CZ fan. A 22 Hornet , full wood, CZ I may acquire one before to long.

I'd have to go with the Savage B17. The new wood stocks the model G's come with are fantastic erginomically. I've shot my friends quite a bit and I'm a believer. Great accuracy, cycles reliably with any ammo you feed it and made in Canada!

The CZ's seem to have a very loyal following as well so I don't think you can go wrong either way. As mentioned above, go with whatever feels the best in your hands. Good luck with your purchase!

You'll get a CZ eventually, anyway. Might as well skip the wasted money on lesser guns, and get it right off the bat.

Cz hands down. Why drive a 1999 Hyundai accent when you can have a 2017 bmw 3 series. Is a cz top of the line? No but it is a heck of a lot more luxurious then a dressed up savage or ruger. A handful of years ago I wanted a cz452 when I had a safe full of cheap savages. Sold 3 savages for the cost of 1 cz and it was very worth it. Quality, fit and finish is night and day between them.

CZ. I have 6 455's, two each in .22. .22 magnum, and .17 hmr, a Farmer .22, and a 452 FS .22. I like the way the CZ's feel and handle.

CZ... 452 or even better a 453... unless you can find a 77/22... if money is "no object" you might as well get an Anschutz.

I picked up a Ruger American Target this spring, liked it so much I sold my Savage (both in 17 HMR). The Ruger is typical for the brand, overbuilt and strong. The rotary magazine is worth it alone, not the cheap flat pot metal that lots of the other companies use, and it hold 9 rounds off the hop. Is every bit as accurate as the Savage at 100 yards, I don't expect further than that from it here, too windy. Minute of gopher every time. I like the CZ's as well, they are well established as premiere rimfire's, but I personally am putting this Ruger in there with them.

I've always been a huge fan of Savage's, my first rifle was a 93R17, and my current Mk II is a good shooter, needs a bit of fine tuning to cure my erratic ejection issue but a bore mop and mothers polish will take care of that when I have a chance. I also just ordered a B22, one of the limited run stainless target ones and I'm excited. The new B series seems good! Only time will tell its slowly getting here. With that being said I will eventually pick up a CZ 455 Varmint trainer in 22 LR. Kind of rare up here but looks amazing! The CZ is a fantastic rifle I've just never been a huge fan of the dovetails as I feel it limits your ring selection. However, it's easier and easier to find a Picatinny adapter so that stumbling block is gone for me!

I assume the OP has his rifle by now...but I just saw this thread for the first time. If he's still searching....

CZ452 or CZ453 (will req. a little search, but they're out there) would be great in the $600-ish range.

Anschutz if budget really isn't a concern.

In all cases, the gun will tell you what ammo it likes. I don't think I've ever bought a rifle based on what ammo it might like. Sure, read what experiences people are having with a given make/model...but I wouldn't bet a dime your rifle will like the same thing.
