There is no such thing as 7.62x43. If what you have is Czech ammo, then I'm guessing you mistook the 43 as the cartridge length. It refers to M43, the designation, since it was first designed in 1943.

Its a Czech ammo, yes the print 7.62-43 on the box I took as 7.62x43.

Or less likely, he might have some 7.62x45 and is misreading the 5

Just like he sad.... 7.62 43 1120 means: 1120 rounds 7.62mm M43 Ball... mild steel core 127grains etc...

Some of the Czech M52, 7.62x45 rifles were converted to 7.62x39, just to confuse the issue.
