Can a Grenade Organize Your Keys?

It looks like a good idea but it’s a trap. You’ll be walking home from the bar and hear movement in the bushes ahead of you. Suspecting enemies you’ll arm the grenade and throw your keys into a tree…

The idiots confiscated a dead 30-30 neck chain........spent primer with a hole drilled through the side.

I shut down the Abbotsford airport once over a spend casing. They had to call the catsa manager at home at 0400 on a saturday to resolve the situation.

spent casings are legal as carry on.

I had three spent casings from .30-06 from a recent hunting trip on the dash on my vehicle when I got pulled over once and got a good tongue lashing from the boys in blue for keeping them in my vehicle. I just laughed and have since decided to keep them in my vehicle permanently just because I don't like being told what to do.

I know of countries where you go to jail if caught at the airport with one of those. Heck, even a spent casing or just a lead bullet (not ammo) will do,

You're wrong there man. If you look at the CATSA "what can I bring" list there are entries for "Bullets and ammunition", "Bullet casings", "Bullet key chains", and "Cartridges" and all of them say they're not allowed in your carryon baggage and they may be allowed in your checked bags if you declare them to the airline during check-in. Doesn't matter if it's inert or live, you will get in trouble if they catch it in your carry on.

Yes!
And in places like the UK, they confiscated a 1/16 scale plastic rifle meant for action figures.
You can't make this stuff up....

It was probably a squirrel rifle.

It could have been all kinds of trouble if it were to fall into the wrong set of paws.

well then they have changed the rules since then. when i did it it was legal to carry spent cases on.

Unless that was prior to 911, they haven't changed the rules. It's not about whether it's legal or not. The Police won't seize it. CATSA just wont' allow it on the aircraft as per their policy. Which leaves you with the decision of letting them take it, mailing it to someone or giving it to someone. Since most of us are in that 1 hour window, you don't generally have time for the other two options.

On a side note, very cool key chains. But don't take one through an airport.
