I've got a nice looking lakefield markII and it shoots "ok". It just doesn't "one hole" as it should. I've tried several other such as Rem 597, Anch, and what not that I can obtain .5" MOA at fifty yrds. In fact a TC benchmark I recently tried I had barely .25" moa at 50yds.
I realize for the price I paid for the lakefield I'm not going to obtain some of the accuracy that is possible, but I'd be alot happier if I can get it to group in the sub 1" at 50. I've tightened everything up, ultra cleaned the rifle in and out, checked optics and mounts, tried several different types of ammo. This rifle simply doesn't group as I'd like it to.
What I would like to know, has anyone taken this type of rifle and been able to make modifications at home/gunsmith and greatly improve accuracy? If so what did you do/have done?
Thanks,
SJV
