Can ammo be to old??

I'm still finding and shooting paper hulled 7 1/2 and 9 shot that's been kicking around since the early 1950's
Still works fine for upland birds and CAS

my dad has some old .410 shells from the 60s that he was using up a couple years ago. Seen a fox about 30 yards away and shot him, when he went up to find the fox it had a nice toonie size hole in the stomache area. He thinks all the BBs stuck together and acted like a slug and just punched throguh him

I'v fired 20 .303 rounds dated 1944 and they looked and worked like they came right out of the factory.
Fired plenty of milsurp 7.62x39 dated 1971, they all looked and worked flawlessly also.
It all depends on how they were stored. If it was in a cool dry place they should be good as new, as long as they are not corroded.

I have fired ammo made in the 1880s and it shot well. Depends on the initial quality of the manufacturer and subsequent storage.
