Can anyone date my M305?

Wow, the hate on later built m305's. I have two from 2013. First is a DA socom18. Very nice receiver on this one, all other parts striped for the build. Second is a Norinco 18.5. Works and shots so good I can't bring myself to strip down or sell it.

How do you figure the receiver was manufactured in 1994? Post suggests it is likely a 2014 import?
 
Assembled with poly stock in 2014, or whenever, receiver made in 94?, as per the other 150 posts about markings. Read them.
I'm only going by what I see about dating receivers in those posts.
Were new receivers made in china to supply an easy boat load sell to buyers, who knows, not sure you will get a firm answer about that.
What kinda makes me wonder if it was china cloned in 2004 (or 14) is that there is no stamping on the heel of the receiver, like all other 199x to whatever year receivers that i've seen, and that ss stamp is out of sequence from other markings presented to different.

Hope you get a firm answer about your rifle, don't be disappointed if you don't, which will probably be the case.
if it shoots good, keep it, if not, it might be just another thing like they supply to north korea missiles that land in the sea.
 
The information that's been "passed around" is that China made a whole schwack of recievers in the early '90s. And that the rifles assembled between 1994-2015/16 were all assembled off the recievers made in that era.

There were several dealers ringing alarm bells about the price of Nork M-14's going up by $150-$200, due to this as early as 2015.

So it is quite possible, that a receiver could be made in 1994 and assembled into a rifle in 2014.

not trying to hijack the thread but i have the same question I just picked up an m305 the serial number on the side is 20137485 from that I would take it as a possible 2013 but not sure and the numbers under the stock on the barrel are c 47 16 and under the stock on the receiver are 4 5 1 45 27. Any help would be appreciated greatly, and I also picked up a USGI kit at the same time as the rifle. I also would think that this rifle is older stock cause i picked it up brand new still in the bag for alost $200 less than any where else I have seen

I wonder what the big fuss is about, then? Shouldn't they all be the same quality?

The receiver was manufactured in May 1994. The rifle was assembled in 2013.
