Can anyone help me with choke constrictions?

hey folks,
i bought a Remington SPR 453/Baikal MP-153 and it came with 4 chokes: IC, M, F and XF (turkey).

they dont seem as tight as North American chokes, however.
ive calipered the bore diameter as well as the muzzle diameter for each. could anyone tell me roughly what their US choke equivalents are?

Bore Diameter: 0.735

IC: 0.728
M: 0.716
F: 0.710
XF: 0.703
 
I've seen full chokes down in the .693" range, i think that these more open chokes may be taking into account the use of steel shot.
 
Ok, so these are Briley's choke constrictions vs the MP-153/SPR453's (Briley on the left):

IC: 0.010 - - IC: 0.007
M : 0.020 - - M : 0.019
F : 0.035 - - F : 0.025
XF: 0.040 - - XF: 0.032

thats not as bad as i thought, i guess.
the MP-153/SPR453's Improved Cylinder(IC) is actually an Improved Skeet(IMK),
the Extra Full(XF) is basically a Full,
and the Full is an Improved Modified.
 
I've found that european made barrels are quite often slightly more open than their American counterparts.That being said, I've seen Remington,Winchester and the rest of American breeds , that are stamped full , range anywhere from xtra full to imp.mod.One reason given for this, is that in the process of production of barrels, the reamer gets dull after so many barrels, and therefore leaves a tighter constriction later on in the production process.

yeah, they are all rated for steel.
i need to get out and actually pattern the gun with steel shot - have only used lead till now.

can anyone recommend any steel shot to test with thats a good value? i dont do waterfowling (yet) so my experience with steel shot is very limited (shot it, but never actually bought any).

I've never found any of the steel shells to be that bad. Kent fassteel or winchester xperts will give you an idea of your barrels pattern.#4 steel is, IMHO a good starting point.If you ever do waterfowl hunt , you'll find #4 shot through a light modified or skeetII barrel will give you an excellent pattern out to 30 yards and a bit. Over decoys it works well.
