I recently picked up a bunch of shotgun reloading stuff and included were about 500 of the 12 ga.wads shown on the right in the pictures. I have included a Winchester WAA12 wad in the pics for comparison. A search of the internet and my reloading books came up empty.

As the seller was quite elderly I thought these might even be an earlier version of the WAA12 as they are the same length, same shot cup and powder cup capacity and each has 4 compression legs.

I hate to throw them out as they in in pristine condition but I am wary making up shotgun loads when one of the components is an unknown.

Any help would be appreciated.

The Claybuster Waa 12 wad will have 3 vents on the gas seal/ powder cup , the Winchester factory wad (pink 1 oz) has 4 under each leg at the powder cup. Claybuster wads have a number molded into the shot cup while factory Winchester wads have a WW with an A underneath it. Hope these other clues help you out a bit

They are indeed Claybuster CB1118-12 wads.
Optimum Load: 1 1/8 oz
Ref loading data WAA12

Read that right off the bag in front of me.
