Can anyone identify this 12 ga. wad?

I recently picked up a bunch of shotgun reloading stuff and included were about 500 of the 12 ga.wads shown on the right in the pictures. I have included a Winchester WAA12 wad in the pics for comparison. A search of the internet and my reloading books came up empty.

As the seller was quite elderly I thought these might even be an earlier version of the WAA12 as they are the same length, same shot cup and powder cup capacity and each has 4 compression legs.

I hate to throw them out as they in in pristine condition but I am wary making up shotgun loads when one of the components is an unknown.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sure looks like dimensions and construction are very similar, almost identical to the Win AA wad. They may even be an early version of Win AA. I would measure the gas seal area with a caliper. If pretty much the same I would use them as a Win AA replacement "clone" same as the claybusters.
 
Very similar to the Win. AA at a glance. The gas seal at the bottom and the wad cup look identical but the compression section, while similar, is quite different. No way of knowing how the flexibility of the plastic compares to the AA. This looks like it was an AA knockoff, designed to circumvent Winchester patents or copyrights but using AA data would be a gamble at best. If you MUST use them ( can’t afford a bag of AA or Claybuster?)be very cautious, using the lowest pressure load listed for AA wads resulting in sub 8000 PSI pressures. Personally I would junk them, I wouldn’t risk damaging my gun nor my body to save $30.
 
It looks like a claybuster CB1118-12 which is a knockoff of WAA12. This is not the CB1100-12 which is a knockoff of WAA12SL which is pink.

The Claybuster CB1118-12 wads that I have are identical to WAA 12 wads in every respect visually and of course load interchangeably with WAA 12. These wads shown have a different compression section in the middle. Four posts yes. But not two facing each way like WAA and these posts are smooth full length, WAA’s ( and Claybuster’s) have a kink in the middle.

I need to read things better. I was looking the WAA12 and seeing the same thing in the other photo.

From further research, I cannot find the exact image but the DRV12 by Downrange Manufacturing is similar (but not the same). First off, the colour is different. It could be an older version.

If you post this to the reloading forums on Shotgunworld or Trapshooters forums I can bet they will tell you exactly which WAA12 clone this wad is. There’s infinitely more shotshell reloading specific knowledge on there than here and they can normally identify nearly any wad that was ever made.
