Can anyone identify this biathlon rifle model?

The rifle the op asked to identify is not a Marlin 2000. The stock being blue is about the only similarity.
 
^please tell, not sure how you disagree looks pretty obvious to me, other than the bolt handle being intentionally bent not sure what else you see.

The stock appears to be the same one used on the Marlin. The bolt handle on rifle the OP's picture is curved back toward the shooter. (see below).




Other than the shape of the bolt handle, is there any other difference between the rifle alleged not to be a Marlin 2000?

The event is somewhere in Alaska and you know Americans. They like using American things. I have no doubt it was a Marlin 2000, with a modified bolt handle and new sights.

I think they simply just modified the bolt handle. As right off the bolt body is same angle as the bent as the stock photo. The ball matches the same size etc.

Sights can be changed, metal can be bent, butt plates can be changed.
