Can anyone on here shorten a barrel for me or suggest somebody to ??

Hi,Maybe i should have put this in the gunsmithing forum but here goes.

I was wondering if anybody on here could cut 6 inches of a .22LR barrel and recrown it for me or suggest someone who could??

For A Fee of course.I am not looking for someone to do it for free.

I would like to use it for trapping but i find it just to long to be handy.

So if anybody can give me some advice on where to get it done or could do it for a price it would be appreciated.

Go to your local shooting club, or gun shop, ask who in the area does decent gunsithing, get refrences, phone said individual or business, arrange for work to be done.

Thanks for the suggestions LeftyDick.Our local range is outdoors and snowed in.Not even a boot track in there.

Good idea though, i guess i could phone some of the members there and see if they know of anyone.

The only local(still a hour drive away) gunsmith i new of quit a few years ago.I guess that i did hear of a newer guy about an hour drive away also but i have not heard good things about him.

Enough bad stuff to make me not want to try him anyways.

I thought it might be easier to find someone on here to mail it to then to try to find someone locally.Not much here for that sort of stuff.Maybe in other parts of the province i am sure but not around here.
