Our old butcher just got burned out in a shop fire and i have 3 deer hanging that need to be done... I am also very picky on my meat and would rather pay extra to have it done proper! So if they are hacks please dont rec them! Mennonites are prefered but if you have experienced quality work that will work to... Thanks

Dunrobin butcher shop does my deer. They are real butchers who does game meat after hours. They follow all safety procedures.

Dunrobin just north of Kanata.

whos the guy you picked?

His name is Eric something lol and he is located in Kars and was trained by a man i no that has a extrodinary meat shop called Alberts in kemptville... Alberts is one of the best around but sadly he doesnt butcher deer or anything just makes sausages from venison... Alberts highly recomended him and the price was right (40$ a deer) and he offered to let me watch him butcher another fellows animal up before i make my final decision... Alberts are perfectionist and if they recomend him i am sure he is good... I will give feedback on him when all is said and done!

BigBones, what are you getting for $40 a deer?
Not the whole thing butchered and packaged, are you?

We had our deer butchered at Bearbrooke, and we had a bit of everything with a considerable amount of vacuum sealed sausages.. Came up to $340

I wouldn't mind traveling the extra 20 minutes to save money. It was 93 pounds of meat. Was I ripped off, it was my first deer, so I'm not sure what the going rate is.

The butcher i am using comes very highly recomended from the best meat shop around in my opinion... There cuts are always excellent to say the least and aged to perfection... His name is Eric Miron he can be reached at 613 489 0811 He is 3km south of the kars general storeand he charges 45$ cut wrapped per deer regardless of size... I phoned many butchers around the area and found most to be alot more pricey and this man as i said come with very high recomendations from Alberts Meat shop... If anyone has bought there meat then you no why i chose him and that was before i found out his pricing.. I was going to post his name and number earlier but i no he works alot and wanted to make sure it was ok by him before i posted up his info...

I called Bearbrooke two years ago and they quoted me a dollar a pound, just to cut and wrap, seemed pretty steep.
