Can anyone recommend a book/video on edible plants in the Alberta Rockies area?

I see many of them on the shelves, but they are wrapped, so I am not sure what they will be all about. I would like to know which plants are edible, what their nutritional/medicinal benefit is, how to prepare them, etc. I have some experience in other areas, but there is a lot of stuff in the lower Rockies that I do not know.

planning on living off the land on your next hunting trip?

there is a book with a yellow cover called "edible and medicinal plants of the canadian rockies" or maybe just "rockies". lots of info in there.

I find these books very useful in information and identification. They are a couple of my favourites.

Edible and Medicinal Plants of the Rocky Mountains and Neighbouring Territories
by Terry Willard Ph.D.
ISBN 0969172729

Plants of Coastal British Columbia (Paperback)
by Jim Pojar, Andy MacKinnon
ISBN 1551050420

Buy the "Handbook of the Canadian Rockies". It has everything you need to know from edible plants to geography to animals. I have had mine for about 16 years and love it.
