I was at a show a while ago and picked up a couple model 100 trigger assemblies. Both were stripped minus the trigger. The front mounting block was broken off one and the other the solder had broke loose. Is there anyone here that could silver solder or braze the front block onto the good trigger assembly for me ?.The original ( ? ) owner I guess tried to cut the broken pcs off the block so there is a hack saw cut mark on one side but it wont effect soldering it back on.If it can be done would you need a receiver as well ?
Thanks, 88

Without a deep knowledge specifically about the Model 100 it would be difficult to attach the part in the exact place it needs to be. Re-attaching the part to the original place it was is MUCH easier, as there are usually visual indications as to where it was originally.

Now, if a person had both the old and replacement parts they could determine exactly where to attach it.

HOPEFULLY! LOL!

Personally I would lean towards tiny TIG welds but without the parts in hand to examine directly, that is just a guess.

The pcs are still attached from the old trigger mech so they need to come off first so yes it wll be easy to know where it's ment to be put back on.
Sorry but I should've said the original pcs where still on the block !

I am in Oshawa and do silver soldering and other welding processes and recently repaired a broken recoil rod for a AR180b that another member sent me to repair from out west that turned out nice. If you say the mating/alignment marks are clear then there shouldn't be a problem other than the finish may change in the welding area and may be difficult or require some elbow grease to get to match the rest of the metal. Pm me if interested and more pictures if it would help.--Dieseldog!
