Can AR15 Milspec and commecial receiver extention tubes be swapped?

I've got a DA556 rifle coming in [Norinco, commercial tube] and I have a hankering to install a Troy Battleaxe stock on it [requires Milspec tube].

Can I put a milspec tube on my commercial receiver, or is this an impossible dream?

There is no such thing as a commercial/mil-spec receiver and like Brordo mentionned, the threads are the same.

As you unscrew the comm tube....watch out for the part that retains the buffer. The first time I did this it just about hit me in the eye....the second time I forgot about the first time and it flew into the ceiling and I just about lost it.
