found these on a martini henry Canadian broad arrow ????

Those are British War Department broad arrows. (Canada would have a large C around them, and I'm not sure they were actually doing that until later).

NEP is Nepal and the NS is for Native Service, so a British gun that was used to equip Nepalese troupes.

For what it may be worth (.... future reference? .... idle curiosity? .... having an edge in Trivial Pursuit? ..... ) the Canadian Broad Arrow was approved as a Government mark for military equipment on 14 September 1907 by Militia General Order No. 212. Its use was discontinued in 1949.
