Can Canadians order pistols from the USA?

Well I was looking for a Beretta 92FS or D, they were 869.00 US, plus the 100 for paperwork
Beretta's don't sell for that in the states! Maybe the MSRP but it will be under $600 for sure. here they are about $800.

I was at BGC this past weekend - best gun store I've ever been to. Selection is amazing!! they even have a G27 with a extanded barrel in stock with a Canadian flag next to it :D $799 I think (normally $599 for the regular model)

I did not think they were that high in price as posted by JesseJamesB in the US, but did not want to comment as I had no seen the price myself.

Curious, did you notice or ask if they had any XDm's in yet, or if any are potentially on the way, I know they have the issue with the magazine just as we do, being limited to 10 rounds, but was wondering if they were looking at getting any in pinned, and then selling them.....? Probably pick it up from them between 500-600 bucks for sure....

I wish there was a place like that at just a few hours drive from Montreal :\

Wish I had liquid cash, I would buy a whole bunch of stuff from them, and then sell it off to you guys....

Only other way is if there was a small order of say 10 or so pistols to be picked up at once, one trip, a few bucks for gas and who is close can go get them, bring em back, and mail em to you guys, yes all would be in the one persons name, each individual would pay for it, and once brought back it can be transferred and mailed out........I wonder how many times this could be done, if at all, and would it be thought of as a business of some sort....hmmmmm

No my mistake, found my paper that I wrote a bunch of pricing down, I stand corrected. The 92 is under $600 it is 570, the one I was mixed with was the Beretta Px4 at a price of $760 my bad (I still got a better deal here in Ont. for my Beretta at $625)..... but here is some pricing to why I thought they were pricey

Ruger Blackhawk 357- $500
Colt 1911 - $1000
Colt Python (blued)- $1100
Ruger 3 screw 357 - $400

Plus Exchange plus $100 plus taxes Not much savings on these compared to here, maybe a bit but not worth the 8-10 week wait.

My apologies on trying to remember pricing on memory alone LOL

Other prices

Glock M27 $700
Itaca 1911 Original $2000
Norinco 1911 $600
H&R 22 $300
Beretta 96 40 cal ( one on EE right now $790) $700

So FTA you want to facilitate a group buy. We could all just EMT you the cash and a small fee and you broker the deal. You then just do the transfer and ship. Cmon, I am still waiting for that damn passport.

Just think if it was a group buy, every pistol after the first one, would only be 50 bucks for the paper work, there you go savings right off the bat

It's a thought....on the group buy....

get your passport, and we make a trip down, then we can look at possibly doing this for the guys who are not close to do the same.....

I would do it, not even to make anything off of it, but say cover the gas to get there and back, and that is peanuts, just wondering at what point would someone say this can't be done......it's now a business,,,,,lol

@JesseJamesB

yup you are correct, not all is a savings, sometimes the price is more, sometimes its even, but sometimes one can save a bundle.....and it's worth the drive to BGC......well for those close enough

someone mentioned warranty, I know with regards to the Springfield pistols that I have purchased, I am fully covered, I sent them an email, and they replied back, and advised no issues on warranty if it's ever needed.

Just thinking out loud...what if a BC person ordered from Buffalo and had the gun shipped to an FFL close in WA (say Dave's) who then drove it up to Aldergrove for $50 (I'm going by what they list as one of their services) + the FFL transfer fee (I'm guessing)? Or won't Buffalo ship to other FFL's? Does Dave's even offer that? I might have to find out...

We've done a couple of these in the past where someone else already has th export license and then we just deliver it to the border. It is possible, ... email me export@davessports.com if this is something you want to work out (and if BGC is willing to do it that way). They'd also have to file the online Export Declaration on AES (they'll know what that is). Further, we should be listed on the export license as the Freight Forwarder or Intermediate Consignee.

Cheers,
