One thing for sure, (I bet cantom saw this coming!) that rifle will be the perfect excuse to drop by Jason's to chat with him, and pet Max on the head (the Vizsla Pointer)![]()
Just take the rifle to Jason. He'll probably groan after dealing with my 49 LB but he can certainly do it.
Hi guys,
I may get my hands on a Jungle No5 Lee Enfield, but it has been drilled and tapped (). How laborious is reversing this aspect? (or, in other words, $$$$?)
Thanks for any tip!
Lou
Why worry about it? The rifle has already lost it's collector value due to the drilling and tapping. If you want a collector piece, buy a collector. If you want a humper, buy a humper. It's just that simple.
You do have a point. I do have the collector, and for this one (a probable acquisition), I'm just thinking about the thing looking odd with the holes.
Mind you, as a simple shooter, keeping the holes would make scope mounting possible if that becomes the prefered option of the owner...
Argh, so many things to think about and the rifle's not even mine. Go figure...
