Can i belong to more than one club at a time to use handguns?

i'm from B.C. from what i heard you register it to the club (not sure if thats the right termonology) and then you need to call somewhere to say that you are using it somewhere else for the day?

In Alberta ATT reads:

"Transport to and from all approved ranges, licensed gunsmiths and border crossings in Alberta."

I think BC is the same.
 
normally once you're a club member you get an ATT ( Authorization to Transport) which allows you to bring your restricted/prohib to any club/range in the province. In western Canada there used to be multiple-province ATTS but don't know if that's still the case. We in Ontario have to get a separate temporary ATT to go to a club/match in another province -the porcedure may variy by province but in ON usually its a phone call and you may have to send a fax of the invitation to the match. This is done independently of your club.
 
I'm a member of several clubs and last time I applied for an LTATT I put them all down and the dufus at the CFO's office combined all the names...Anyways, it is good for BC and Yukon...gotta get me one of these Canada wide one as I head out to the prairies this summer.
 
One club in your province will sponsor your LTATT. With that, you should, at the very least, be able to go to any approved range in your province. However, many clubs will require you to successfully complete a handgun safety course and/or probationary period, unless you are a visitor or participating in some type of club sponsored match.

A gun is never registered to a club. It's registered to you. It can't be stored at a club. It must be stored at your residence (or, very temporarily, in a vehicle between residence and a range covered under your LTATT).

Whether you can transport it from your residence to more than one range... that's between you and your provincial CFO. It will be spelled out clearly on your LTATT. It should be the same for everyone in a given province, but if you read threads here... it can vary a little bit even with a province.
 
While the firearm is registered to you and not the club, you can belong to as many clubs as you can afford. Not all clubs have the same facilities.
 
What I'm really trying to say is, can i use my handgun at any approved range without any hassle? For some reason a guy i know says that i would have to get a day permit or something to bring it to another range. I live in Surrey, my gf lives in chilliwak and there is a range very close to her house. I'm just wondering if i can drop in there no problem with my handgun. Thanks

Now you see, that is the way it should be done, and also gun dealer added in there, or does the Alberta CFO consider gunsmith/dealer the same thing?

Friggin Ontario CFO requires an individual ATT for everything.
 
Mine is good for BC,AB,SK,MB however i have a membership in AB and MB out west all ATT's are issued province wide. much better than the way it was 10 years ago when you had to notify the authorities every time you wanted to leave the house with it and then made you feel like a criminal just for wanting to go practice.I think your friend is stuck back in time but that was the way it was once upon a time
